Welcome to the Health Visitors' link on
the Hightown Surgery website.
Caroline Cooke, Health Visitor, works part time (Mondays, Tuesdays and
alternate Thursdays).
Angie Grant, Nursery Nurse, works part time (Mondays 9 to 3, Tuesday to
Thursday 8.30 to 12.30)
We can be contacted on 01295 270704 Monday to Friday. We are out of the
office quite a lot so if you get the answer phone leave a message,
contact name and number and we will return your call as soon as
possible. We check the messages regularly but messages left after 4.30pm
and at weekends will not usually be answered until the next working day.
Health Visitors are employed by Cherwell Vale Primary Care Trust on
behalf of the NHS. We are qualified nurses who have additional training
in health promotion and education, public health and family and child
health.
Health Visitors work with the family in a range of settings such as at
home, in the surgery and in the local community. We work with families
and children of all ages and have expertise in the everyday challenges
of parenthood, examples include, baby and children’s diet; children’s
development; children’s behaviour and post natal depression. Our overall
aim is to work in partnership with you to help you lead as healthy a
life as possible both physically and emotionally.
Angie Grant, Nursery Nurse, works in partnership with the Health Visitors
to offer support to children and their families. Angie has a Nursery
Nurse Diploma and NVQ2 Childcare and Education 0-8 years. She works with
families in their own homes and other settings such as Family Centres
and Community Groups usually over a defined period of time.
