Travel Vaccinations

Not all travel vaccinations are available free on the NHS, even if they're recommended for travel to a certain area.

At Hightown we provide the following travel vaccinations under the NHS

  • tetanus, diphtheria and polio booster
  • typhoid
  • hepatitis A and some combined vaccines, such as combined hepatitis A and B
  • cholera

The vaccinations listed below are not available under the NHS and are charged as a NON NHS Service

  • meningococcal meningitis
  • hepatitis B
  • rabies
  • tuberculosis
  • Japanese encephalitis and tick-borne encephalitis

Note to Patients:
When organising your travel vaccinations please click on the following link before booking your appointment with the Practice Nurse www.fitfortravel.nhs.uk it is important that you bring the information on the immunisations you require with you to your appointment.

Allow at minimum of 6 weeks from the date of your vaccines being administered to allow full protection.
