High blood pressure could lead to a heart attack or stroke.

High blood pressure puts extra strain on your heart and blood vessels; this is called hypertension. Over time it can lead to serious health problems. One in two strokes are the result of high blood pressure.

Located in Hightown Surgery waiting room is the Practice’s new Blood Pressure Machine.

This gives patients access to record their own blood pressure as well as height, weight and BMI calculator. The machine is self operated with easy to follow instructions, and provides a printed copy of results upon completion.
